Binance Capital Connect Launches Express Interest Only (EIO) Mode

Binance is introducing Express Interest Only (EIO) mode on Capital Connect , the industry’s first portfolio marketplace linking professional trading teams with institutional investors. 

EIO mode provides a compliant pathway for trading teams to present their track record to institutional investors on Capital Connect, while giving investors early access to discover emerging strategies before they become investable. Investment in EIO portfolios is not available. Investors may submit a non-binding expression of interest, and trading teams receive anonymised demand signals via email notification.

Alongside EIO, Capital Connect’s portfolio detail page now includes enhanced performance metrics, portfolio composition data, and trading team information for both active and EIO portfolios. Access to this dashboard is available only to whitelisted Capital Connect investors.

What Is Express Interest Only Mode

EIO mode is a view-only listing mode for trading teams that do not yet hold the required licenses to offer their strategies to external investors. EIO mode allows trading teams to gauge interest from verified Capital Connect investors before pursuing the necessary licensing to be open to investors on Capital Connect. In EIO mode:

Performance data is visible: Investors can view the same comprehensive performance metrics as active portfolios, including multi-period returns, risk metrics, NAV history, and portfolio composition.

Investment is not available: All investment options (subscribe, redeem) are disabled.

All EIO listings show a "Express Interest Only" badge on the marketplace.

EIO portfolios are visible only to logged-in, verified professional investors who meet Capital Connect's qualification criteria . Users who are not logged in or do not meet the eligibility requirements will not be able to view EIO listings.

Limited duration: Trading teams can remain in EIO mode for a limited time only. EIO mode expires after six months, and may be extended up to an additional three months, subject to review.

Click "Express Interest" and complete a short interest form.

Submissions are non-binding, with no investment access and no guarantee of direct contact.

Showcase your performance track record to KYB-verified professional investors on Capital Connect.

Receive an anonymised email notification when an investor submits an interest form.

Investment and direct investor contact are unavailable while in EIO mode.

Pathway to Active Status

Trading teams in EIO mode are required to pursue the necessary licensing to transition to active status. Once licensed and after maintaining a 30-day active track record on Capital Connect, the portfolio may be transitioned to active status.

If you are already a Portfolio Account Trading Team, please contact your dedicated Account Manager. Binance will review your application prior to listing your strategy in EIO mode.

If you are not yet a Portfolio Account Trading Team, you must complete KYB onboarding and configure your Portfolio Account before applying for an EIO mode listing. For detailed onboarding instructions, eligible entities may contact their dedicated Account Manager.

Investors can access the Capital Connect marketplace directly on Binance. KYB-verified users who are VIP 3 or above are eligible to access Capital Connect, including EIO portfolios.
